Moose Antler Artwork
I use graphite and charcoal to draw directly on palms of moose antlers. Each antler is one-of-a-kind original, hand-drawn, signed and dated. Drawing on moose antlers is very tedious. Veination during growth creates troughs and ridges, making drawing very difficult. The uneven rough texture of even the smoothest areas readily devours pencil tips. When finished the artwork is sprayed with an artist fixative to prevent smudging. Scenes can be custom-ordered. Antler prices are highly variable due to the cost, condition and size of each antler and also depends on the complexity of the scene.
